![]() Visualization modes can be used to inspect the Nanite pipeline… Nanite mesh is inherently a hierarchical level of detail structure that relies on being able to simplify small triangles into larger triangles and choosing the coarser one when it determines the difference is smaller than can be perceived… Forests filled with tree canopies made up of individually modeled leaves almost certainly won’t run well, but using Nanite for tree trunks and branches might. I spent over 1K on a render engine that didnt provide world-class realism. KeyShot as a plugin supports LiveLinking where KeyShot and the modelling tools are connected for a live sync. It supports over 40 file types for Direct Import from major 3D CAD tools. Nanite runs in its own rendering pass that completely bypasses traditional draw calls. Personally I feel the shadows in the Keyshot rendering right are to dark for. KeyShot is the most accurate rendering solution for your 3D data. KeyShot can work as a standalone 3D rendering engine as well as integrating with 3D modelling software in three levels. Data is streamed in on demand so that only visible detail needs to reside in memory. Keyshot is capable of using multiple machines located on your network to work in conjunction with one another to accelerate your renders. During rendering: clusters are swapped on the fly at varying levels of detail based on the camera view, and connect perfectly without cracks to neighboring clusters within the same object. Keyshot is a hugely powerful render engine specifically designed to generate high-quality imagery extremely fast. Nanite can handle orders of magnitude more triangles and instances than is possible for traditionally rendered geometry… How does Nanite work? During import: meshes are analyzed and broken down into hierarchical clusters of triangle groups. These hierarchical meshes would improve performance of Rhino Render command. It is not clear why it does not work well for foliage - incompetence seems to be the most plausible reason. For obvious reasons this algorithm does not work well for transparent objects. Small, high-resolution meshes are at the bottom of the pyramid. So if CPU rendering is a major part of your workflow, then you should add as many cores as your budget allows. One big, low-resolution mesh is at the top of the pyramid. As a multi-threaded, CPU-based rendering engine, KeyShot takes full advantage of all of the CPU cores in BOXX KeyShot workstations. It is an algorithm dividing complex mesh into hierarchical pyramid of meshes. Keyshot’s biggest draw is the ability to see rendered imagesand animations in real-time. Nanite is new feature of the Unreal Engine 5. Keyshot dubs itself the fastest real-time rendering engine onthe market, giving artists and designers a powerful tool to build animationsand images that are blowing the competition away. ![]() I was aware of the Unreal Engine 5 before I stumbled upon this thread.
